I would like to thank you for the reminder that everything, which happens in my life, is for the good, even when I do not realize it now. Others may look at my life and see the trials and tribulations. I look at my life and give thanks for all you have done for me. I have actively chosen to believe that you do not do things to me as some form of punishment, but for me as a tool to help me grow and continue to be of service. Yes, I have had others say hurtful things to me, but you have taught me that their words are about them, not me. Yes, I have had others abuse me, but their pain, which they targeted towards me, is about them, not me. It is only about me if I believe it is about me and as you have taught me through the teachings of don Miguel Ruiz. The words and the language I use have power and I choose to use words that create positive realities and energy. It is through my word that I create and this power to create is a gift you bestowed on me.
Even when others speak about me as a victim or in words that reflect their reality, I have the power to name and create my own reality. At lunch with an acquaintance today, I was reminded of the story of Joseph. He was painted by others as a victim of what others had done to him. Joseph, however, did not view himself that way. He knew that all that was happening in his life was for the good. I am grateful for all you have done for me, as it has helped me to evolve to the place I am in my journey.
I am so grateful for the knowledge that I am not a victim. I can only be a victim if I agree I am a victim. That is not an identity I choose to adopt in my life and I am so grateful that you remind me day that I have the choice to say what I am. I can choose to say I am things that devalue me, or I can say that I am. I am the one created by the “I am.” I am the one who can do anything I set my mind to in my life. I am the one who dictates what I manifest in my life.
So thank you for enabling me to know that what others do to or say is not about me. What is important is that I always ask what are you doing for me? How is this helping me to evolve in my own journey? As my Bubby would always say to me, “Where is the blessing in this Sara Bella?” Then I would seek out the blessing and I give thanks.
