So I was sitting here this morning about all I have been through in my life and I know that I have made it here because of my personal relationship with you. It is through you and my relationship with you that I have come to experience an intimacy that I have not been able to experience with a human person, not even Zoe, and I know you sent her into my life.
I think about all the times I came close to dying and you would whisper in my ears, all is well my daughter and then you brought me through. I think about all the times I wondered how I was going to make it through the summer financially and you always provided for me one way or the other. I think about all the times I doubted if I was doing what you wanted and needed me to do in my life and you would send someone to say thank you. I think about the times I had those moments of doubt as to whether I could do something or not and you would say, come Sarah Bella, let’s do this.
There is this song by Celine Dion that makes me think about you every time I hear it. You have been everything I have ever needed in my life. You are my eyes when I cannot see. You are my ears when I cannot hear. You have been my strength when I was weak. You lifted me up when I could not stand. You picked me up and dusted me off when I have fallen. How could I not love the one who has always loved me so unconditionally? How could I not have faith in the source who has loved me since before others even knew who I was?
Every morning I give thanks for five things that I appreciate you doing for and through me. There is always more than five in my heart, however, I limit myself to documenting five or I would be writing all day long. I appreciate all that you do for me without my ever asking. If it were not for the breaths that my body does without me even thinking about it, or the blood that flows through my veins without me telling it to do that, or any of the other bodily functions that I have faith are going to happen without my even thinking about them, where would I be.
Today, a friend of mine shared with me a video she saw on the Today show about how faith makes you healthier. It really did not surprise me. I know it is my faith in you that lightens my load and keeps me healthy and strong. So thank you for being the rock on which I stand, the one who guides and orders my steps, and the who helps me to walk humbly, with mercy, and doing justice. Thank you!
